Mako Engine — the conversation brain, wherever your leads already live.
Mako Engine is the part of ForgeConnect that does the talking. It is built to sit on top of the systems a store already runs rather than demanding you abandon them.

What it replaces
Most CRMs ship a chatbot. It fires a template, the customer reads it in two seconds as a machine, and the conversation is over before anyone at the store knew it started.
Mako Engine replaces that with an actual sales specialist — one that opens the conversation, reads the room, handles the objection in front of it, and knows when to stop and hand the customer to a person.
It goes where the customer already is
Leads do not arrive in one place any more. Mako Engine works them over text message and across social channels including Messenger and Instagram, with the same doctrine and the same hard rules applied everywhere.
The Marketplace agent in particular has a deliberately narrow job: build rapport, collect name, phone and email and nothing else, read intent, book a visit or a call, and establish finance versus cash. It does not quote, negotiate, discount, or discuss what a car is worth.
Nothing is ever texted without separate explicit consent to text, even from a buyer who already agreed to apply.
The escalation rules are the product
Anything legal, complaint-shaped or fraud-adjacent routes straight to a human. Stop and start requests stick. Appointment claims require an actual agreed date and time, with negation detection so "that does not work for me" is never read as a yes.
The things dealers ask first.
- Do I have to replace my CRM to use this?
- No. Mako Engine is designed to sit on top of what a store already runs rather than requiring a rip-and-replace.
- Which channels does it work?
- Text message plus social channels including Facebook Messenger and Instagram DM, with the same rules applied consistently across all of them.
- Will it claim an appointment that was never agreed?
- No. A booking requires an actual agreed date and time, and negation is detected so a refusal is never mistaken for agreement.

Mako is the conversation platform inside ForgeConnect for stores and groups that need customer identity to stay theirs.
AI Sales Specialist
The moment a lead arrives — from your website, a lead provider, Marketplace, or a walk-up — it gets a text message.
Conversation QA
Here is an uncomfortable question: do you actually know what your BDC says to customers? Not the ones you spot-check.
