What it checks
- Decodes the barcode on the back of the licence, which is the authoritative record.
- Reads the front of the card and cross-checks it against the barcode.
- Checks the expiry date.
- Checks that the age is plausible.
- For Ontario licences, checks the date of birth encoded in the licence number itself.
Then it returns a plain verdict — verified, needs review, or failed — with a score and the reasons behind it, and draws a PDF you can keep in the file.
